The Blanck family has been established in Alsace since the late 16th century and in the wine business in Kientzheim since the early 19th century. Over the past two centuries, the region's wine activity has been through a number of changes, mainly political ones; the most significant occurring in 1975, with the creation of the Alsace Grand Cru appellation, in which the Blanck family played a significant role.

The family has built a modern wine company, remaining faithful to its identity, but open to innovations, such as environmentally-focused farming methods. Today, Frédéric and Philippe Blanck work tirelessly improving and respecting their premium range of wines and their vineyards, which cover 36 hectares across five Grand Crus and four regionally recognised ‘lieux-dits’.
