5 STARS WINERY

James Halliday, Australian WIne Companion

“Quite a tasty blend, a genuine middleweight showing sweet and savoury flavours including red and black berries, plums and warm earth. Bremerton at Langhorne Creek has been quietly working its way into the upper echelon of South Australian wine. Look out for this label for reds and whites.”
(Paddy Kendler, Quaffing, August 2007)

The Willson family first planted vines at Bremerton Lodge in 1992. After a devastating flood later that year the family decided to expand their grape growing and winemaking enterprises, with plantings now covering the entire property of 100 acres. Daughter/Winemaker Rebecca Willson has given her family’s Langhorne Creek winery a foothold in the highly competitive boutique wine market since taking on her first sole vintage at the age of twenty-five. (winery notes)

"Bec Willson has proven her genius as a blender with her Vintage Cabernet Shiraz, and her entry-level Tamblyn benefits from the same expertise. Consistent and reliable, with perfectly-measured balance, this new vintage shows all the vibrant black cherry fruit and dark chocolate oak you would expect." – 91 Points

Tyson Stelzer, WBM, June 2008

2006 Bremerton ‘Tamblyn’ Cabernet Blend 90 PONITS

“An attractive array of aromatic, juicy red fruits; has good thrust and length, not withstanding low tannin levels…”

James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion 2009
