The red volcanic clay slopes of Broke-Fordwich (a Hunter Valley sub-region) are home to over 100 hectares of 40 year old vineyards, producing the distinctive wines of the Margan brand. Margan is now a single vineyard estate with all yields kept to a minimum concentrating on the primary fruit characters of the grapes. This results in powerful wines with true Hunter regional and varietal definition, deftly produced by Andrew Margan who brings over 20 years experience to his brand.
